Entry Requirements

A minimum of Level 5 certificate standard of education and a valid Manual Handling Certificate is required.

Proficiency in written and spoken English, as well as computer literacy skills, are essential. Students undertaking Level 6 courses are expected to demonstrate proficiency in reading, drafting, preparing, and comprehending information across various topics. Basic IT skills and access to necessary equipment such as a computer, broadband, email, Microsoft Office, and recording equipment are required for skills demonstration tasks. Additionally, learners must be capable of self-directed study as this course is delivered through blended learning.

Progression

Successful completion of Instructing Manual Handling (6N0233) award enables the learner to transfer to programmes leading to other certificates where this component is a mandatory or an elective requirement.

Upon successful completing of the major award, learners can progress to relevant Level 7 components.
