This workshop provides an overview of the key learning outcomes and a structured approach to understanding and addressing conflicts in early childhood settings. It is designed to help you build the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to foster a harmonious and supportive learning environment for young children.
  • Define conflict and conflict management, their significance, and key theories in early childhood care.
  • Identify common sources and types of conflict in early childhood environments.
  • Practice active listening and assertive communication tailored to early childhood settings.
  • Enhance emotional intelligence and its application in conflict resolution.
  • Implement age-appropriate conflict management strategies and foster positive classroom environments.
  • Develop skills to mediate conflicts between children and create conflict management policies.
  • Understand cultural competence and apply culturally sensitive conflict resolution strategies.
  • Analyse case studies, develop conflict management plans, and reflect on personal growth in conflict resolution skills.

Each learner will receive a Barrow Training Certificate of attendance which is valid for 2 years.

Workshops are released every Monday and Thursday over a 30-day period. You can start at a time that suits you and progress at your own pace.
