- Entry Requirements
To access programmes leading to this award the learner should have reached the standards of knowledge, skill and competence associated with the preceding level of the National Framework of Qualifications. This may have been achieved through a formal qualification or through relevant life and work experience.
Ideally a minimum of Level 4 certificate standard of education and a strong interest in the provision of quality care in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency in written and spoken English, along with computer literacy skills, is crucial. Students enrolling in Level 5 courses are expected to exhibit proficiency in reading, drafting, preparing, and comprehending information on various topics. Basic IT skills and access to necessary equipment such as a computer, broadband, email, Microsoft Office, and recording equipment are necessary for skills demonstration tasks. - Progression
Successful completion of Nursing Theory & Practice enables the learner to transfer to programmes leading to other certificates where this component is a mandatory or an elective requirement.

Upon successful completion of the module, learners will be awarded a QQI minor component Award in Nursing Theory & Practice.
